Kozhikode: Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan presented the award named after freedom fighter,Businessman and unforgettable personality in the socio-cultural fields P.V.Sami to Malabar Group Chairman M.P. Ahmed. The award ceremony was held at the Muhammed Abdurahiman Memorial Jubilee Hall in Kandamkulam, Kozhikode . PV Chandran, Managing Trustee of the PV. Sami Memorial Trust and Chairman and Managing Editor of Mathrubhumi presided over the ceremony.Tuesday was also the day when PV.Sami passed away 36 years ago. Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty presented the certificate of appreciation at the ceremony. MK. Raghavan MP presented Ponnada. MLA V. Muraleedharan,Shreyams , Praveen Kumar,Mahboob,Razak master and ADGP P. Vijayan congratulated m p ahmed.The jury, which includes Mathrubhumi Managing Director M.V. Shreyams Kumar as chairman and Dr. C.K. Ramachandran and Sathyan Anthikad as members, selected M.P. Ahmed for the award.
