Dubai: For those who were once the pillars of support for their families and society, finding the time to listen to their words is one of the greatest forms of care that can be offered during the twilight of their lives. Driven by this spirit of love and respect, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai organized an awareness program for senior citizens in collaboration with the Dubai Community Development Authority (CDA).Held at the CDA center under the theme “Sense of Responsibility and Influence in Society,” the event saw GDRFA officials interacting directly with senior citizens. They inquired about their needs and shared information and guidelines designed to simplify daily tasks and improve their quality of life.The gathering reflected the Arab community’s ethos of valuing the experiences of the elderly and according them a respected place within the family and society. What made the event truly heartwarming was the officials’ initiative to reach out to a generation—which had long dedicated its time to the needs of others—specifically to listen to their own needs.GDRFA officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties with senior citizens and ensuring their well-being.
