HH Sheikh Hamdan Visits Aster Pharmacy’s Robotic Warehouse in Dubai

Dubai, September 11, 2026: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, visited the distribution center of Aster Pharmacy at Dubai Industrial City—one of the largest pharmaceutical warehouses in the region.During the visit, he stated that the private sector plays a vital role in building and developing an efficient and reliable healthcare system. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in delivering high-quality services that meet the community’s needs for medicines and medical supplies.Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, and Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, briefed him on the facilities and services provided across Aster’s network in the UAE and the GCC, while guiding him through the 145,000-square-foot warehouse. Sheikh Hamdan commended the warehouse’s innovative approach, which enhances operational efficiency and enables the distribution of medicines with greater speed and accuracy. He also expressed his support for Aster’s continued growth, its efforts to further improve services, and its adoption of innovative solutions that contribute to the development of the UAE’s healthcare system.Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism; and His Excellency Malek Al Malek, Chairman of TECOM Group.The warehouse handles approximately 75,000 transactions daily across Aster’s UAE network, which comprises 350 pharmacies, 120 medical clinics, and 15 hospitals.
