Dubai: Individuals facing difficulties because a sponsor or another person is illegally withholding their passport can now file a complaint online with GDRFA Dubai. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai has set up an electronic complaint system on its website for this purpose. GDRFA Dubai shared details regarding this facility via its social media channels.
Complaints related to the withholding of passports can be submitted through this system. Upon receiving a complaint, relevant officials will review the matter and take necessary action. The law stipulates that an employer or company must not withhold an employee’s passport without their consent.

3. Select ‘New Request’.
