Agreement to Strengthen Partnership at UAE-Germany Business Forum
Munich: A UAE-Germany Business Forum was held in Munich coinciding with the official visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Germany. Numerous prominent industry leaders and investors from both nations participated in the forum.
Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the pivotal role played by the private sectors of both countries in further strengthening the strategic partnership between the UAE and Germany. The UAE President emphasized the need to bolster investment ties to identify new opportunities in priority sectors and expand existing partnerships.
Thirty Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) across various sectors were signed during the forum. These agreements cover areas such as energy infrastructure, logistics, transport, aviation, food security, agriculture, and consumer products.
Lulu Group, a leading regional retailer, signed MoUs with two German companies at the business forum. Lulu Group Chairman M.A. Yusuff Ali signed the agreements. Under the agreement, various food products from Germany will be made available at Lulu hypermarkets across the Gulf countries.
Senior officials and prominent business leaders from Germany and the UAE attended the business forum.
