Mammooka
As a journalist, I have “faced” legendary  Mammooty on several occasions .Mostly at press conferences in Dubai. Mammooty did not come out of his rough exterior in the early days. He does not bring people who are not interested to him. When he visits Dubai, he sometimes comes to the Kairali channel  office as part of his position as the chairman of  Channel.i was special correspondent for the Middle east for a few years.

The Kairali office was in the building where CNN operates in Media City. Somettan,coordinator of the channel that time, had called from Kochi to say that he wanted Mammooty’s greetings for the Onam programs in Kairali. I informed Mammooka about this over the phone. He agreed to come to the office. We waited. The megastar  came down at the exact time. He asked if the camera was ready. from  the car I got into the elevator and went straight to the office. I held out the mic. “I’ll grab the mic myself.” Mammooty said. He finished greeting  for one and a half minutes in one breath. He finished everything in two minutes and went downstairs.Mr v k ashraf,director of malaylam communications and mr mansoor m d of chicking were  waiting down.
A long time has passed. A press conference related to the promotion of a movie Roschak .Many people praised  Mammootty for his acting skill . Why doesn’t he get an Oscar? I asked .A long,thorough answer came .The entire Oscar history is touched, and the challenges of Malayalam cinema reaching the Oscars. This video is viral on YouTube.
