GDRFA Dubai and Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government join hands; Training for National Values-Based Leadership

 

Dubai: Dubai has launched a special training program to strengthen leadership skills based on national values ​​and national identity. The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, in collaboration with Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, is organizing the training program titled ‘Leadership through Values ​​and National Identity’.65 officials, including department directors, deputy directors, office managers, and shift supervisors, are participating in the training in two batches. The main components of the program are lectures, case studies, training activities, and research papers that help in the practical implementation of leadership concepts. A special session with a senior leader has also been arranged to connect leadership concepts with the realities of government work.Lt. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said that leadership development is an investment in the organization’s ability to effectively carry out its mission. He explained that the goal is to develop leadership that reflects national values ​​in decisions and actions, and improves the performance and service quality of teams. He said that national values ​​and national identity are the fundamental pillars of leadership and guide decision-making and accountability. He added that the training will help them effectively lead diverse teams, make sustainable strategic decisions, and implement the UAE’s values ​​in the workplace and customer experience.Dr. Ali bin Seba Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, said that the program is part of the UAE’s vision to strengthen leadership based on national values. He added that the goal is to prepare leaders to meet the demands of future government and make better decisions by combining academic knowledge with practical training.The training also includes topics such as sustainable development, green economy, green innovation, and strategic decision-making that considers environmental, social, and economic factors. In addition, leadership, team development, communication, collaboration, and innovation that are inclusive in diverse work environments are also emphasized. The training is held at the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government for five hours per day over two days. The officials said that the program aims to further strengthen the institutional capacity and future readiness of GDRFA Dubai by developing leadership that is capable of meeting future challenges and making decisions based on values ​​and sustainability.
