Dubai: Dubai airports are fully prepared to welcome citizens, residents and visitors returning to the UAE after the holidays, said Lt. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Head of GDRFA Dubai. He said that extensive preparations have been completed to ensure a better experience for passengers, while completing travel procedures more quickly and smoothly.

Considering the rush of passengers, airport staff have been redeployed, technical support teams have been deployed and smart gates have been utilized to the maximum capacity. With the help of facial recognition and biometric technology, passport checks can be completed in a few seconds through smart gates. This will provide a completely contactless travel experience for passengers. Red carpet corridors and special arrival channels have already been set up. The facilities have been designed to ensure that passengers can experience Dubai’s unique hospitality and warm welcome from the moment they arrive at the airport.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri said that these preparations are part of realizing the vision of the Dubai Government and the directives of the top leadership into a world-class travel experience. The aim is to further strengthen Dubai’s position as a city of the future and one of the most attractive places to live and visit. He commended the excellent work of passport control officers and field teams at Dubai Airports. He said that their high level of preparation and sincere service are becoming the face of Dubai’s warm hospitality.Al Marri gave the instructions during a meeting with the Assistant Director General of the Airports Department of Dubai Airports, various officials and working groups. He instructed officials to provide a warm and welcoming welcome to passengers and visitors returning to the UAE through Dubai airports.

He also emphasized that the welcome received by each passenger should reflect the emirate’s renowned values ​​of hospitality and excellence, while upholding Dubai’s cultural image.

‘Border Hospitality’ to international standards

Al Marri said that GDRFA Dubai continues to work to strengthen the concept of ‘Border Hospitality’, which makes border checks more hospitable. Passport inspection officers are being specially trained to act as ambassadors of Dubai’s renowned hospitality and warm welcome. He added that international best practices are being adopted to increase the efficiency of border inspection systems at airports.The aim is to transform traditional border inspection procedures into a faster and more seamless, better hospitality experience. The systems are designed to start this experience from the moment the passenger arrives at the airport. Al Marri particularly praised the strategic partnerships and direct coordination with various entities operating at Dubai Airports. He said that coordination with Dubai Airports, Dubai Police, Dubai Customs and national airlines is crucial to completing travel procedures more quickly and efficiently. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri added that this coordination between various entities operating at airports is a key factor in helping to complete travel procedures faster, increase passenger happiness and further strengthen Dubai’s world-class airport service standards.
