H.E. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi Launches Lulu’s New UAE Product Range with Chairman Yusuffali M.A. at Global Food Week
Abu Dhabi, 6 October 2026: Lulu Group has unveiled AWWAL, an exclusive new range bringing together products grown, produced and manufactured in the UAE under one distinctive retail identity.
AWWAL was officially launched by H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, alongside Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group, at the Lulu stand during Global Food Week 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
Built around the positioning “*UAE Comes First*,” AWWAL brings together three key categories — UAE Grown, featuring locally grown fruits, vegetables, dates and herbs; UAE Produced, including dairy, eggs, poultry, honey and other locally produced foods; and UAE Made, covering food and other products manufactured in the UAE. The range is designed to give UAE products greater visibility and make it easier for shoppers to identify, discover and choose locally grown, produced and made products.Through distinctive AWWAL branding, dedicated in-store displays, promotions and consumer campaigns, Lulu aims to create a strong retail platform connecting UAE farmers, producers and manufacturers with its large and diverse customer base.The initiative reflects Lulu’s commitment to supporting local businesses, creating greater market opportunities for UAE products and encouraging consumers to choose local.

• H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, visited the Lulu stand at Global Food Week 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
• During the visit, Yusuffali M.A. briefed His Highness on Lulu’s initiatives to promote UAE-grown, locally produced and manufactured products, including the newly introduced AWWAL range.
• His Highness was also apprised of Lulu’s wider efforts to support the UAE’s food security priorities, local agriculture and the growth of UAE farmers and food producers.Commenting on the AWWAL initiative, Yusuffali M.A. said: “AWWAL will initially feature a curated selection across fresh produce, dairy, poultry, dates, honey, bakery, beverages and other UAE-made food categories, with the range progressively expanding to include more UAE producers and products.
