MASS Onam Celebrations Held at Expo Centre
Sharjah | The Onam celebrations organized by MAS took place at the Sharjah Expo Centre, commencing with a grand procession. Distinguished guest Rima Kallingal joined MAS office bearers—Secretary Binu Korom, President Haris Annara, Treasurer Shine Reji, Joint Secretary Basheer Kaladi, Vice President Pramod Madikai, and Joint Treasurer Sijin Raj—in the event. Renowned actress Rima Kallingal inaugurated the cultural gathering. Haris Annara presided over the function, and General Secretary Binu Korom delivered the welcome address.
Indian Association President Balakrishnan and MAS founding president Hameed offered felicitations.
Trophies were awarded to the winners of the *Pookkalam* (floral carpet) and *Payasam* (traditional dessert) competitions, in which various MAS regional units had participated.
Rima Kallingal also unveiled the certificate to be issued to participants of the MASS blood donation camp and announced the ‘Chinta MASS Literature Festival-2,’ scheduled for October 31 and November 1.
MAS Joint Secretary Basheer Kaladi delivered the vote of thanks.
The event concluded with cultural programs organized by the arts committee, featuring a musical concert led by Vivekanandan and Mridula Warrier. An elaborate Onasadya was arranged for all the more than 6,000 participants of the celebration, as part of ‘Mass Onam 2026’.
