*UAE International Investment Council gets new leadership; Lulu Group Chairman M.A. Yusufali appointed as Vice Chairman*
Abu Dhabi: The UAE International Investment Council, which is accelerating the UAE’s investment plans and trade expansion, has new leadership. The new members were appointed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.
The UAE Minister of Foreign Trade has appointed Abdullah Ahmed Al Suwaidi as the Secretary General of the Council, which is chaired by the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, and Lulu Group Chairman M.A. Yusufali as the Vice Chairman. Mubadala Investment Company Deputy Group CEO Humaid Al Shimri has also been appointed as the Vice Chairman.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade and Chairman of the Council, said that the new leadership will strengthen the efforts to transform the UAE into a global hub, and that the Council will be able to implement great plans for major investments and trade advances.
The UAE International Investment Council was established in 2009 to encourage and implement large-scale investment projects with public-private partnerships. The Council works for the comprehensive economic advancement of the UAE through smooth operations and good investments for local companies in the UAE and companies from more than 100 countries.
